Mohan Lal Bhagat, former SSP from Akhnoor, joined Bharatiya Janata Party at the party Headquarters in Jammu.

Ravinder Raina, President, J&K BJP, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha), and others welcomed Mohan Lal Bhagat, a former SSP from Akhnoor, into the party fold.

BJP district President & former MLA Rajiv Sharma, DDC Suresh Sharma, former VC Daljit Chib, DDC Sharda Bhau, Convenor Border Cell Jai Singh, Mandal Presidents Manga Ram, Sham Singh and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

While welcoming the former SSP, Ravinder Raina said that the public welfare schemes launched for the poor and the needy by the Narendra Modi government testify to its commitment to the overall development of its citizens.

Ravinder Raina highlighted the BJP’s commitment to inclusive development and criticized the opposition alliance. He emphasized the party’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” mission and said that the National Conference (NC) and Congress are pursuing an anti-national agenda.

Raina lashed out at the National Conference-Congress alliance. He pointed out Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Rahul Gandhi’s previous statements about contesting elections independently. He accused the NC of allying with the Congress due to the fear of BJP’s rapid growth across the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir. He further censured the alliance for advocating the release of political prisoners.

Jugal Kishore Sharma also welcomed the new entrants onto the party fold and said that the joining would strengthen the party in the area. Earlier during his professional life, Mohan Lal served the society with full vigour and the party is sure that he will serve the needy and work for the victory of party in the Assembly elections 2024.
