Angelina Jolie graced the premiere of her film Maria at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on August 29, 2024.
Exuding sheer elegance in a custom Tamara Ralph stone chiffon draped asymmetric gown, Angelina paired it with silk chiffon gloves and faux fur stole. Angelina made heads turn when she gracefully posed for pictures and interacted with her fans on the red carpet. Angelina’s timeless style was very demure, very mindful.
Angelina who plays Maria Callas, one of the greatest soprano opera singers the world has seen, honoured the singer by accessorising with a Cartier brooch, which is to be believed was once worn by Maria Callas. The intricately designed gold flower brooch is innovatively crafted where one can open and close the petals. A beautiful tribute to the late singer and an iconic moment in method dressing, Angelina looked breathtaking in the creative piece.
Maria’s impeccable style quotient featured myriad fur coats and hats, and we are glad that Angelina’s opted for a faux fur, which along with the gloves and dress was exclusively crafted for Angelina by haute couture luxury designer Tamara Ralph.
Adding a pop of colour to Angelina Jolie’s neutral colour palette was the signature bold red lip colour. Her cascading hair falling onto her off-the-shoulder faux fur stole and her bracelet and ring added a hint of sparkle to her subtle look.
Ahead of her red carpet appearance, Angelina was seen soaking up some sun and enjoying a boat ride, dressed in Saint Laurent sleeveless boho-chic floor length dress. The dress featured intricate patterns on the bodice, thus cinching the waist and making it the perfect resort wear look to flaunt on your next holiday.
The film Maria directed by Pablo Larraín, also stars Turkish actor Haluk Bilginer who plays the character of Aristotle Onassis, actor Pierfrancesco Favino, Valeria Golino, Alba Rohrwacher among others. The 81st Venice International Film Festival which began on August 28, will be held till September 7 in Venice, Italy. The festival will also be screening the much awaited film Joker: Folie à Deux featuring renowned celebrated stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
