Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai walked down the aisle in 2007 and they are parents to daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. The two had been friends for a few years and had worked together in films like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke and Kuch Naa Kaho. Within no time, their love blossomed while filming Umrao Jaan in 2005-2006. In an interview, Amitabh Bachchan revealed Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya in the US and they were both fond of each other. He said that after the premiere of Guru, Abhishek called him and said that he proposed to her. Big B asked Aishwarya if she was happy and she said yes.
