Srinagar, Mar 04 : Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) continues to be shut after a landslide at Mehad, Ramban, and heavy rain disrupted restoration efforts. Officials have suggested people to skip the route until further notice.

A number of other important roads, such as Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag, Mughal Road, SSG Road, and Bhaderwah-Chamba, are also still blocked by heavy snowfall. Officials indicate road clearance will be subject to weather conditions in the next few days.

Travelers are advised to monitor updates prior to traveling. Traffic helplines are provided for support.

The shutdown has stranded many people, affecting necessary supplies and mobility throughout the area.— (KB)
