Srinagar: The Principal, staff, and students of Government Degree College, Ganderbal express their profound grief and heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Nazakat Ali Khatana, a cherished member of Batch 2024 (Roll No. 242021, Reg. No. 17206-GBL-2024). Nazakat tragically lost his life in a drowning incident on August 10, 2025, at Madhumati, Bandipora.
Nazakat was known among his peers and teachers as a sincere, punctual, and dedicated student. His passing is an immense loss to the institution and the community.
In this time of deep sorrow, the college community stands in solidarity with the bereaved family. “We pray to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah (Paradise) and to bestow strength and patience upon the family to bear this irreparable loss,” the Principal said in a statement.
Nazakat’s memory will remain an enduring part of the college’s legacy, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
