SPO Dies of Electrocution in Chadoora

Chadoora, Sep 2 KNT: A Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police died after receiving an electric shock in Badipora area of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.

Officials said the deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Teli (45), son of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Badipora Chadoora, who was posted at District Police Lines (DPL) Srinagar. He sustained critical injuries after coming in contact with a live wire in his native village and was immediately rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said further details of the incident are being ascertained. [KNT]
