Srinagar, Jan 13, KNT: Traffic movement on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway remained smooth on Tuesday, with the vital road link staying open for both light motor vehicles and heavy motor vehicles.

Officials said vehicular movement was reported to be normal from both Jammu and Srinagar sides, with no major congestion or disruption observed along the highway. Road conditions remained favourable, allowing steady movement of passenger vehicles as well as freight carriers.

Similarly, the Mughal Road also continued to remain open, providing an alternative route for commuters and transporters. Authorities said traffic on the road was moving smoothly, offering relief to locals and travellers who depend on the stretch for connectivity.

Traffic officials said ground staff remained deployed at sensitive points to regulate movement and ensure safety. Motorists were advised to follow traffic guidelines and remain cautious while travelling through hilly stretches.

The continued smooth movement on both routes has eased transportation of essential supplies and reduced travel delays across the region. [KNT]
