Arvind Gupta, Dr Narendra Singh Accuse Administration of Failing Eligible Beneficiaries

Jammu, Feb 12 (KNC): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators Arvind Gupta and Dr Narendra Singh on Thursday staged a walkout from the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, protesting what they termed as the administration’s failure to issue ST-II certificates to eligible beneficiaries in Jammu district.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, The BJP members raised the issue in the House, alleging that several deserving individuals have not been granted the Scheduled Tribe (ST-II) certificates despite fulfilling the required criteria.

They expressed concern that the delay in issuance of certificates was causing inconvenience to eligible beneficiaries and depriving them of rightful benefits.

Terming the matter as serious, the legislators accused the concerned authorities of inaction and demanded immediate intervention to resolve the issue.

As their concerns were not addressed to their satisfaction, both MLAs staged a walkout from the Assembly in protest. The House proceedings continued thereafter. (KNC)
