India will not tolerate if cross border terrorism continues in J&K: Farooq
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: Amid growing militant attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday said that India will not tolerate if the cross border terrorism continued.

“We want peace to prevail between India and Pakistan, but instead of that an atmosphere is being created that a war should happen which is a concerning thing”, Farooq told media persons in Srinagar on Tuesday.

“If the situation continues to go like this, the time will come that India will not tolerate”, he said and added “that the people of India would want that the government should take a step to stop the terrorism”.

The NC President said that there is no doubt that the terrorism is expanding.

“There is no doubt that train people are being sent to this side to carry out the terrorist activities. May the Almighty help to save us from this terrorism? We pray that the Almighty give good sense to them (Pakistan). In such circumstances the situation is not going to improve but rather deteriorate”, the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said.

“We wish that both the countries think again and again to move on the path of peace and may almighty wish to prevail peace in Jammu and Kashmir”, he added.

In reply to a question, Farooq said that “trained people are being sent to this side and there is possibility that they too are commandos. The way they (militants) are carrying out the attacks seems to be that they are highly trained… We feel tremendous danger”.

Regarding the rally taken out by the INDI alliance in New Delhi today, he said “it is a good initiative and our members are also participating in the demonstrations in the National Capital today. We will pray for their success in their initiatives”.

Asked that BJP is going to nominate their candidates for the forthcoming assembly election in Kashmir, Farooq said “it is a good thing, let them do. This is an independent country and everybody has his right”.

He said that the all party meeting is likely to take place in August and the date for the meet is being fixed.
