BJP Kashmir Displaced District took a significant step forward in its election campaign today with the inauguration of a new election office at Durga Nagar, Jammu. The event was marked by the presence of several prominent leaders, including State Secretary and Prabhari Jammu South Ayodhya Gupta, Ex MLC and Prabhari Kashmir Displaced District Ajay Bharti, District President Chand Ji Bhat, Seh Prabhari Hira Lal Bhat, along with other district and mandal office bearers.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this new initiative, Ayodhya Gupta emphasized the strategic importance of establishing these election offices across the region. “The opening of election offices is an endeavor by the BJP leadership to expand its outreach in Jammu Kashmir. These offices will serve as the central hubs for all election-related activities, ensuring effective coordination and communication within the party,” he stated.

Ajay Bharti asserted that the ideology of the National Conference mirrors that of anti-national elements. He emphasized that both the National Conference and the Congress have a long history of betraying the Kashmiri Pandits. Bharti pointed out that the NC’s manifesto, which advocates for the return of Article 370 and 35A, is a clear indication of their opposition to the Valmiki Samaj and the rights of the daughters of the state—rights that were only secured after the abrogation of Article 370. Bharti further remarked that the National Conference, Congress, and PDP are frustrated by the transformative changes taking place in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that one of the most significant shifts is that the common people are now able to live their lives according to their own wishes. The era of street violence, which once plagued the region, has come to an end, signaling a new chapter of peace and autonomy for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

District President Chand Ji Bhat also shared his insights, stating, “From today onwards, the activities for the upcoming elections will be coordinated through this office. This marks a new chapter in our campaign, reflecting our commitment to victory in the forthcoming elections.” In a scathing criticism of the National Conference (NC), Bhat condemned the party’s proposal to rename the Shankaracharya and Hari Parbat hillocks in Srinagar, as outlined in its manifesto for the 2024 Assembly elections. Bhat described the move as “atrocious,” accusing the NC of blatant double standards. “While the party lambasts the restoration of historic names in other parts of India, it audaciously seeks to alter the names of these revered sites in Kashmir,” he stated.

Seh Prabhari Hira Lal Bhat echoed these sentiments, underscoring the party’s unwavering commitment to preserving the cultural and historical identity of Jammu Kashmir. He reiterated that the BJP will continue to stand firm against any attempts to distort or erase the region’s heritage, emphasizing the importance of unity and vigilance in the face of such challenges.
