Hundreds of orchards, paddy crops, apple fruit trees were knocked down by the heavy winds and rains in kulgam district. due to gusty winds Roof tops of many residential house and other vehicles were damaged while trees fell on them.

An intense hailstorm on Monday Afternoon lashed several villages of Kulgam district, causing significant damage to apple farms.
The hailstorm hit the apple-rich villages of Mahmmad pora , Arreh, and upper reaches of DH pora .The farmers from affected villages said that the hailstorm lasted for around 10 to 15 minutes, spelling doom for the apple orchards.
