Awantipora Police Arrest Four JeM Terrorist Associates in Tral

Awantipora, Jan 1 (JKNS): Awantipora Police, along with security forces, have arrested four terrorist associates of the proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in Tral on tuesday.

A police spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads that, Awantipora police along Security forces have arrested four terrorist associates of proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in Tral.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Naik, son of Farooq Ahmad Naik, a resident of Tral Payeen; Umar Nazir Sheikh, son of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Kuchmulla; Inayat Firdoos Rather, son of Firdoos Ahmad Rather, a resident of Tral Payeen; and Salman Nazir Lone, son of Nazir Ahmad Lone, a resident of Kounserbal Tral, it reads.

Incriminating materials linked to the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad were recovered from their possession.

Police stated that the arrested individuals were involved in providing logistical support and transporting arms and ammunition for active terrorists operating in Tral and Awantipora areas.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 134/2024 at Police Station Tral, and further investigation is underway, reads the statement. (JKNS)
