Bandipora, Feb 25 : Massive cracks appeared on a road along the river Jhelum in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday, creating panic among locals.

Locals told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that cracks have been developing on the road over the past few days, but today, the damage worsened with fresh cracks.

They expressed concern that if the cracks worsen, a huge tragedy could occur as the road passes along the river Jhelum.

The locals urged the administration to take immediate action to prevent further cracks in the road.

An official said that a team has been rushed to the spot to assess the situation, and necessary steps will be taken accordingly. He added that public movement near the spot will be restricted—(KNO)
