DC Shopian reviews implementation of PM Surya Ghar (Muft Bijli Yojna)

Asks for enhanced awareness activities for maximum registrations

SHOPIAN, MARCH 03: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today convened a meeting with concerned officers to review the implementation of PM Surya Ghar (Muft Bijli Yojana) in the district.

The scheme aims to enhance the share of rooftop solar capacity and empower residential households to generate their own electricity, supported by significant financial contributions from the government.

The meeting was informed that a substantial number of applications have been received for installation of rooftops in the district.

Gupta emphasized the need to increase registrations under the scheme and directed Tehsildars and officers and officials of KPDCL for their cooperation to launch massive awareness campaigns at their respective jurisdiction to motivate the people so that they will be benefited.

ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone; ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; Tehsildars, Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildars and other concerned were present.
