Srinagar, Mar 5: MLA Hazratbal, Salman Sagar, raised two crucial public interest issues in the Assembly, focusing on healthcare accessibility and contractor payments under MPLADS.

Strengthening Ambulance Services for Zakoora, Faqir Gujri & Khimber
MLA Hazratbal questioned the government regarding the availability of ambulance services in these areas. In response, the government confirmed:
Zakoora & Khimber to receive ambulances soon under PMJVK.
Faqir Gujri already has an ambulance, with an additional Critical Care 4×4 ambulance expected shortly.
A Critical Care (108) ambulance stationed at Darbagh Harwan to cater to emergency needs in the region.
This development is set to enhance emergency healthcare access for the residents of these areas.
2. Pending Contractor Payments Under MPLADS
MLA Salman Sagar also raised the long-pending issue of contractor payments, questioning why a portion of the funds was withheld despite due process being followed for partial payments. He emphasized that codal formalities must be applied uniformly, and this matter will be revisited during the cut motion to ensure justice for the affected contractors.
MLA Hazratbal reaffirmed his commitment to addressing public grievances and ensuring accountability in governance.
