Bandipora, Mar 13 (JKNS): Authorities have ordered the closure of all schools in Gurez Subdivision until March 15, due to heavy snowfall, avalanche threats.
As per news agency JKNS an order issued by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez, Mukhtar Ahmad Ahanger reads, In view of the heavy snowfall in Gurez Subdivision, avalanche threat and the prevailing weather conditions, it has been observed that the movement of students and staff remains severely affected.
Considering the safety and well-being of all concerned, it is hereby ordered that the all schools of Gurez Subdivision shall remain closed up to 15th March 2025, it reads.
All heads of institutions are directed to ensure compliance with this order, reads the order. (JKNS)
