Pulwama, Apr 21: A local court in south Kahsmir’s Pulwama district Monday ordered the administration to restrain from erecting height barriers on Naina-Awantipora link road.
The order came after PDP MLA Waheed ur Rehman Parra and others sued the administration over the installation of height barriers on Naina-Awantipora link road.
The learned counsel for the plaintiffs argued that the defendants including Deputy Commissioner Pulwama and Executive Engineer R&B were bent upon to construct over height barrier on Naina-Awantipora link road so that the suit shall turn infructuous.
The applicants prayed that till the next date of hearing the non-applicants/ defendants be restrained from installing over height barrier on spot.
A sub-judge court ordered that applicants/defendants are directed not to raise any over height barrier over subject matter of the suit property (Naina-Awantipora link road) till the next date of hearing.
