30-Year-Old Man Found Dead Near Jhelum River in Khanabal Anantnag

Anantnag, July 21 (JKNS): A male body was recovered Monday morning near the banks of River Jhelum in Nandpora Khanabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Official sources told news agency JKNS said that the deceased has been identified as Abid Hassan Sofi, son of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Mirpora Salia, aged around 30 years.

Soon after the recovery, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was dispatched to the spot for on-site examination, they said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings to ascertain the cause of death. (JKNS)
