SRINAGAR, Jul 26: The Meteorological Department Srinagar on Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir will see a mix of hot and humid weather with spells of rain over the coming days, warning of intense showers and flash flood risks in parts of the Jammu division.
Director MeT, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad said that from July 26-27, the region will experience hot and humid conditions with brief showers at a few places.
From July 28-30, intermittent light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely, with intense showers and heavy rain at a few places of the Jammu division, mainly during late night and early morning hours, Mukhtar said, as per news agency JKNS.
For August 1-3, generally hot and humid weather with scattered rain/thundershower activity is expected, he added.
The MET Centre has warned of intense showers, gusty winds, heavy rain, and a flash flood risk at vulnerable places between July 28–30, along with the possibility of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones. Farmers have been advised to resume farm operations. (JKNS)
