Five Family members from Baramulla injured as car collides with school van in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Aug 25, KNT: At least five members of a family sustained injuries on Monday when their car collided with a school van in Kijpara area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Official sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the accident took place between an Alto vehicle (JK05L-0755) and a school van (JK16A-3519). The passengers travelling in the Alto, identified as Sajad Ahmad Mir of Baramulla, his wife Asifa (48), and their daughters Sadia (22), Safia (20) and Zainab (13), were injured in the collision.

All the injured were shifted to Sub Sub-District Hospital Kangan for treatment. Doctors later referred Sadia and Zainab to SKIMS Soura for specialized care. The Alto car suffered extensive damage in the accident.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident. [KNT]
