Science Meets Drama: Awantipora Zone Hosts Successful NISDC-2025 Event"

Students Showcase Talent at Zonal Level Science Drama Contest

On 25th September 2025, the Zonal Level Northern India Science Drama Contest (NISDC-2025) was successfully conducted at the Conference Hall of P/S Larkipoora B, Educational Zone Awantipora. The event drew a vibrant gathering of young participants from various reputed schools of the zone, who showcased their creativity, scientific curiosity, and dramatic skills with great enthusiasm.
The programme was graced by Mr. Mohd. Amin Pader, Worthy ZEO Awantipora, as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural address, he encouraged the budding participants to explore the fascinating world of science through the creative medium of drama. He emphasized the need to move beyond traditional classroom learning and urged students to prove their scientific potential and innovative capabilities through performing arts. He fondly referred to the participants as the future artists and scientists of the nation.
The event was ably anchored by Mr. Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Zonal Nodal Officer (ZNO) of NISDC-2025, whose engaging style ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.
A distinguished jury panel comprising eminent scholars — Mr. Mohd. Amin Beigh, Mr. Ashaq Hassan Khanday, and Mr. Mohd. Amin Wani (Sarver Sir) — evaluated the performances with expertise and fairness. After careful judgment, the jury declared:
1st Position: Govt. UPS Jawbrara – Winning team for the District Level competition

2nd Position: Govt. UPS MM Dadasara

3rd Position: GHSS Churso.
The winning team, led by Mrs. Shakeela Nazir, a dedicated and renowned teacher, will proudly represent the zone in the upcoming District Level Competition.
Several esteemed educationists, including Mr. Beigh Sir, Mr. Ashaq Khanday Sir, and Mrs. Shakeela Nazir, addressed the gathering with their thought-provoking speeches. They highlighted the relevance of drama as a powerful tool for spreading scientific awareness in modern times. Among them, Mr. Khanday Sir’s inspiring words deeply resonated with the audience, as he guided the young minds on performing science drama in an effective and impactful manner.
The event concluded on a high note with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Tariq Sir, marking the culmination of a memorable day filled with knowledge, creativity, and inspiration.
