Two Soldiers Go Missing in Gadool, Kokernag; Search Operations Underway

Adverse Weather and Difficult Terrain May Have Caused Soldiers to Stray, Say Sources

Anantnag, Oct 8 (KNC): Two soldiers have gone missing in the Gadool area of Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district since Monday, sources said on Wednesday.

The personnel reportedly lost contact while on duty, prompting immediate search and rescue operations in the area.

Offical Sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that adverse weather conditions may have caused the soldiers to stray, and efforts are being intensified to locate them.

Both the soldiers are went misaing on Monday, sources added.

Teams from the Army and local authorities are coordinating to cover difficult terrains and ensure their safe recovery, sources added.

Authorities have urged locals to cooperate with the search operations and advised caution while moving in the area. (KNC)
