J&K Bank Holds Customer Outreach Event in Anantnag to Promote Easy Vehicle Financing

Anantnag, Oct 23, KNT: Jammu and Kashmir Bank, in collaboration with Competent Kashmir Automobiles, organized a special customer outreach program in Anantnag on Thursday to promote convenient vehicle financing options and deepen engagement with the local business community.

The event, held as part of the bank’s outreach drive, was attended by senior officials of J&K Bank and representatives of Competent Kashmir Automobiles, one of the Valley’s leading Maruti Suzuki dealerships. A large gathering of customers, entrepreneurs, and youth participated in the session, which showcased various car models, flexible finance plans, and exclusive loan offers provided by the bank.

Officials said the initiative was aimed at bringing banking services closer to the people while supporting the automobile sector and economic growth in South Kashmir. “We are committed to facilitating vehicle financing in Kashmir. Such programmes help customers understand easy loan options and special offers, making car ownership simpler and more affordable,” said Masood Ahmad, Zonal Manager, J&K Bank.

He added that these outreach activities are designed to educate and empower customers while encouraging financial inclusion through accessible credit. “Our collaboration with Competent Kashmir Automobiles reflects our shared vision of promoting mobility and supporting local enterprise,” he said.

Industry observers at the event also discussed the potential benefits of a possible reduction in GST on automobiles. They said that lower GST rates would significantly bring down vehicle prices, making car ownership easier for middle-income buyers.

Dealers from Competent Kashmir Automobiles welcomed the move, saying it could lead to increased demand and stimulate the local automobile market. “If GST is reduced, customers will benefit from lower on-road prices, and sales are expected to rise sharply, generating new employment opportunities,” said a company representative.

The program concluded with an interactive session, where attendees appreciated J&K Bank’s proactive approach in reaching out to customers and offering tailored financial solutions for vehicle ownership. [KNT]
