Carpenter Dies After Fall From Under-Construction Mosque in South Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 19 (GNS): A 55-year-old carpenter lost his life after falling from an under-construction mosque in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said on Wednesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Thoker, a resident of Nanibugh, Kulgam. According to officials, Thoker fell from the structure while working and suffered critical injuries.

“He was immediately rushed to District Hospital Kulgam, where doctors referred him to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialised treatment, however, he later succumbed to his injuries,” the officials told GNS.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. (GNS)
