Soldier Dies During Training at Khrew

Srinagar, Nov 20 :-A soldier posted at the Training School (BTS) Khrew died after collapsing during a training session on Thursday, officials said.

Official sources told news agency Rifleman Manoj Kumar Upadhyay suddenly fell unconscious while undergoing routine training at the Khrew-based facility.

He was immediately shifted to the unit’s MI Room and subsequently evacuated to 92 Base Hospital Srinagar, where doctors declared him dead, official sources said.

Police has taken cognizance of the incident and initiated the necessary legal proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to the soldier’s death. (KNC)
