Minor Boy Dies of Suffocation at Home in Shopian

Shopian, Dec 23 (KNC): A tragic incident was reported from Ramnagri area of Shopian where a minor boy died due to suffocation, officials said on Tuesday.

Officals told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the minor was brought to District Hospital Shopian, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The boy was reportedly sleeping at his residence when some clothing material accidentally fell over him, causing suffocation. He could not be revived and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, they said.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident, while further proceedings have been initiated as per procedure. (KNC)
