Overcast sky with possibility of rain/snow across the Kashmir valley, moderate intensity snowfall is expected over upper reaches and rain showers is expected over plains .
Towards night, Seasons first snowfall is possible over plains higher chances in North Kashmir 80% followed by 65% in Central kashmir and 55% in South kashmir plains.
31 December: Weather system is likely to persist and gain much more intensity towards evening to bring a widespread rain/snow across the J&K . Towards night fresh snowfall is possible over most plains of Kashmir.
01 January: light to moderate rain/snow is possible . A moderate snowfall is possible over higher reaches of south kashmir.
Fresh snowfall is also possible over plains of Kashmir. Light rains is expected in Jammu plains .
Improvement in weather is expected towards late afternoon or evening.
