Unknown man killed in road accident in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 26: An unknown person was killed in a road accident at Tangan bypass in Srinagar, officials said on Monday.

A police party from Nowgam police station brought the injured to SMHS Hospital for medical treatment. However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead on arrival.

Officials said that the accident occurred when the man was hit by a 407 vehicle at the Tangan bypass.

The identity of the deceased has not been established so far. Police said further legal formalities have been initiated and efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the victim and verify the exact circumstances of the accident.
