Srinagar, January 29, 2025: Axis Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, today inaugurated a new branch in Srinagar, J&K, further strengthening its presence in the region. The branch was inaugurated by Mushtaq Guroo, MLA, Chanapora, along with Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya, Chairman, Jammu & Kashmir Hoteliers Club, in the presence of senior officials from Axis Bank.

Located in the Lal Nagar, Chanapora area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, this new branch will offer a comprehensive suite of asset products and banking services, including personal and digital banking solutions, loan products (personal, gold, home, vehicle, working capital, term, etc.), and insurance offerings. The branch will cater to a diverse customer base comprising individuals, HNIs, universities, start-ups, large and mid-corporates, and retail businesses. This expansion reinforces Axis Bank’s commitment to financial inclusion and to supporting the region’s economic growth by delivering convenient, accessible, and customer-centric banking solutions.

Commenting on the inauguration, Reynold D’Souza – President & Head – Branch Banking, North & TASC Business, Axis Bank, said, “With the inauguration of this new branch, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering communities through inclusive and accessible banking. This is not just about expanding physical presence; it’s about deepening impact. By combining digital innovation with personalized service, we strive to deliver smart, secure, and convenient banking to every doorstep. We are excited to bring the entire spectrum of offerings across segments—be it savings and investments, business banking, or digital-first solutions—tailored to meet the evolving needs of individuals, entrepreneurs, and institutions in Srinagar. We see immense potential for development in this region and, as one of the largest banks in the country, are glad to be a significant driving force in Jammu & Kashmir’s growth journey.”
With 30 branches and 32 ATMs in Kashmir, Axis Bank continues to scale access to modern banking services. The Bank is enabling customers to adopt digital payment solutions for everyday transactions, while continuing to invest in secure and inclusive banking infrastructure.
