JKTF Awantipora & Tral Honor Veteran Educators in Grand Superannuation Ceremony
GUFKRAL, TRAL — In an event marked by profound gratitude and institutional prestige, the teaching fraternity of JKTF Awantipora and Tral organized a magnificent superannuation ceremony at PS Gufkral to honor two legendary figures of the education department, Mr. Gulam Hassan Wani and Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Kar. The ceremony served as a high-octane tribute to their transformative professional journeys and decades of dedicated service.
The gathering drew a galaxy of JKTF’s top-tier leadership, reflecting the immense stature of the retirees. Prominent attendees included Chairman JKTF Mr. Showkat Ali Beigh, UT Secretary Mahi Muzafar, Finance Secretary Mohd Ashraf, and Provincial President Mr. Irfan Nazir. The administrative wing was also strongly represented by ZEO Awantipora Mr. Mohammad Amin Padder, Cluster Head/Principal GHSS Dadsara Mr. Mohammad Shafi Shah, and ZEO/Principal GHSS Tral Nazir Ahmad Dar, underscoring deep-rooted institutional respect.
Addressing the gathering, speakers hailed Mr. Wani and Mr. Kar as academic visionaries and “sculptors of character.” Their careers were described as a masterclass in dedication, where they balanced their roles as intellectual anchors in the classroom with fierce, dignified activism within the JKTF forum. Leadership noted that their contributions have long been the bedrock of the organization’s resilience in the district.
In a symbolic gesture of reverence, the retirees were adorned with traditional Turbans and Shawls, signifying the “Crown of Wisdom” earned through years of toil. The proceedings, which included the presentation of floral garlands and the sharing of selfless service anecdotes, were conducted by renowned anchor Mr. Ashiq Khanday. His evocative narration turned the ceremony into a living chronicle of two extraordinary lives.
As both veterans step into a well-earned retirement, the JKTF units of Awantipora and Tral pledged to carry forward the torch of excellence they have kept burning, leaving behind a luminous trail of inspiration for the entire teaching community.
