Water Supply To Remain Affected In Parts Of Ganderbal And Srinagar From April 21-23

SRINAGAR, Apr 18: Potable drinking water supply will remain disrupted in several areas of Ganderbal district and rural parts of Srinagar district from April 21 to April 23 due to scheduled repair and maintenance works on the Sindh Power Canal, officials said.
The disruption has been necessitated due to Phase-II of urgent maintenance being undertaken by the Canal Maintenance Division (CMD), Ganderbal, which will temporarily affect raw water supply to treatment plants dependent on the canal system, resulting in suspension of water distribution in the affected areas.
Officials said the water supply will remain suspended from 6:00 a.m. on April 21, 2026, till 10:00 a.m. on April 23, 2026.
In Ganderbal district, the affected areas include Ganderbal Town, Nagbal, Rangil, Dariend, Malshaibagh, Babadaryadin, Khalamulla, Banjar Basti, Nunner, Gutlibagh, Baba Wayil, Wayil, Wayil Wudder, Nadirbagh, Bobsipora, Chappergund, Budurkund, Bandibagh, Arch, Serch, Suderbagh, Chowdribagh, Malpora, Hard Muradabagh, Gundrehman, Harran, Tulbagh, Kachan, Gundmumin, Hakimgund, Hatborah, Kustooripora, Sehpora, Shalbugh, Chundina, Gogjigund, Malikpora, Kokgund, Devpora, Korag, Gadoora, Kujjar, Rakhi Harran, Benehama, Manigam, Tulamulla, Waheedpora, Theeru and Larsun.
In rural areas of Srinagar district, the affected localities include Gulab Bagh, Zakura, Habak, Shaheen Colony, Meerakshah Colony, Fazal-haq Colony, Fisherman Colony, Shuhama, Chatterhama, Warpoh, Bakura, Inderhama, Syedpora, Daedi Novbug, Khimber Hadoora, Syedpora Humchi, Wanihama, Batapora, Gassu Bakura, Qurashi Mohalla, Tulbagh Shanpora, Guzerbal, Palpora, New Colony, Kreshbal, Bakshipora, Tangpora, Gurhanjipora, Chonchifakir, Pamposh Colony, Goripora, Shunglipora, Bank Colony, Kounsar Colony and adjoining areas, and Dagpora Anchar.
Authorities have advised residents of all affected areas to store adequate water in advance to avoid inconvenience during the shutdown period.
