CBS News Desk, June 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday departed for a six-day visit to France and Slovakia, aimed at further strengthening India’s ties with the two European nations.
Before leaving, Modi said he would visit the countries from June 13 to 18 at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
The Prime Minister is expected to hold discussions with the leadership of both nations on a range of bilateral, regional and global issues. The visit will focus on enhancing cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, defence, technology, energy and strategic partnerships.
The tour reflects India’s continued efforts to deepen engagement with key European partners and expand collaboration across multiple sectors.
