PM Narendra Modi on Monday called on all political parties to rise above partisan interests and unite for the sake of national interest.

Speaking to the media ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, he acknowledged that while political ideologies and agendas may differ, national unity must remain paramount.

“Yes, political parties are different, each has its agenda,” the Prime Minister said. “But while opinions may differ on party interests, our hearts must unite for the national interest.”

PM Modi Commends MPs for International Outreach Post-Pahalgam Attack

The Prime Minister praised Indian parliamentarians for presenting the country’s position on cross-border terrorism to the global community in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.

He noted that MPs from multiple parties visited foreign nations to expose Pakistan’s role in sponsoring terrorism.

“They went to many countries and, with a united voice, ran a highly successful campaign to expose Pakistan on the global stage,” PM Modi said. “I commend all those MPs and parties for prioritising national interest and creating a positive environment in the country.”

PM Modi expressed hope that the world would begin to accept India’s position more openly on terrorism and regional security.

“The world should open its doors to India’s point of view,” he said. “It is my privilege to commend our parliamentarians and political parties for making this possible.”

Stressing the power of a unified national voice, the Prime Minister urged all Members of Parliament to reflect that spirit inside the House. “The country has seen what strength unity can bring. I urge all MPs to carry that same spirit forward in the Monsoon Session,” he said.

PM Anticipates Strong Legislative Action in Session

Looking ahead, Prime Minister Modi said the Monsoon Session will introduce several key legislations aimed at boosting national development.

“These laws will strengthen the country’s progress and benefit every citizen,” he said. “After thorough discussion, I’m confident the House will pass them. I wish all MPs the best for an excellent and productive debate.”
