Gold Cards For Top Talent
The proposed Gold Card system would allow companies, including tech giants like Apple, to directly purchase cards for the most talented graduates in their field, securing their ability to work and live in the US.
This program replaces the current EB-5 program, which grants green card privileges to individuals who invest between $800,000 and $1.05 million to create jobs in the US.
Trump’s Gold Cards would cater to affluent investors and business leaders who create jobs, and would streamline the immigration process, benefiting both employers and skilled professionals.

Trump also sees this program as a potential revenue source for the US government.
He suggested that selling a million cards could generate $5 trillion, which could help address the country’s $35 trillion debt.

However, national limits on green cards might restrict the full implementation of the Gold Card system.
In his remarks, Trump expressed his desire to end certain existing programs, such as the green card lottery, which allocates visas through a lottery to people from countries with unused green card quotas.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick criticized the current EB-5 program, calling it “low-price” and “fraudulent,” reinforcing Trump’s push for immigration reform.
