DC inspects car parking slots at Shopian

SHOPIAN, MARCH 03: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today conducted a comprehensive assessment of traffic flow and parking facilities in the town.

He visited and inspected key locations, including the District Hospital (DH) Shopian, Old Bus Stand, Old JK Bank, Town Hall Park and other parking sites.

During these inspections, DC evaluated existing parking facilities and pinpointed areas experiencing traffic congestion.

Gupta emphasized the need for effective traffic management, improved parking arrangements, and minimal inconvenience to commuters and visitors.

Directions were issued to the concerned to enhance parking capacities within the hospital premises and transport hubs.

He underscored the importance of maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness in and around the town.

The DC was accompanied by ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, Tehsildar Shopian, ARTO, Xen R&B, Secretary MC and others.
