Four Amarnath pilgrims injured in Ramban tunnel bus accident

Banihal, July 22: Four Amarnath pilgrims were injured after the bus they were travelling in met with an accident inside Kela Morh Tunnel-T2 in Ramban district on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, officials said on Tuesday.

They said the bus bearing registration number RJJ-22PB/1011 met with an accident after the driver lost his control over the bus.

 

The bus collided with iron grill inside the tunnel and damaged its front screen, resulting minor injuries to four persons.

The injured have been shifted to District Hospital Ramban by QRT teams of police , army and other agencies.

Medical superintendent District Hospital Ramban Dr Sudarshan Singh Katoch told Greater Kashmir that four injured has been brought to hospital by rescue teams and were given first aid. He said all are stable and further medical investigation is underway.

The officials said the rest of the pilgrims of ill-fated bus have been moved in a spared bus and Yatra convoy has been allowed to proceed towards Jammu.

Traffic is plying smooth in single lane at the site of accident and bus is being removed.
