From ordinary restaurants to star hotels, noodles are an evergreen recipe in the culinary world that continually inspire new experiments. Noodles have become a favourite among people of all ages, from children to the elderly.

Varieties like Shezwan Noodles, Veg Noodles, and Hakka Noodles are well-known and loved by many. Similar to street food, some people buy noodles from stores while others prefer to prepare them at home. However, not all noodles taste the same, and this variation is attributed to the diverse types of noodles available.

Ramen noodles, which can be prepared quickly, gluten-free rice noodles, Japanese soba noodles that pair beautifully with garlic, and udon noodles that satisfy hunger are just a few examples of the diverse noodle offerings.

Additionally, Italian spaghetti, fettuccine, and low-grade wheat linguine are also popular varieties. Various types of noodles have gained popularity around the world, with countries like China, Vietnam, India, America, the Philippines, Thailand, and South Korea being among the largest consumers.

The unique ingredients from these nations contribute to the distinct flavours of their noodles, providing a culinary experience that transports diners to different countries with every bite.

One of these dishes is butter garlic pan-fried noodles that can be prepared in the comfort of your home in no time.

They make the perfect option for tea time or Sunday breakfast when friends come over. Here’s a simple method to make butter garlic pan-fried noodles at home.

Ingredients for Butter Garlic Pan Fried Noodles:

To make butter garlic pan-fried noodles, you will need the following ingredients: one cup of boiled egg noodles, 1-2 tablespoons of finely minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped spring onion, 1 teaspoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder, salt to taste, 1 tablespoon of white sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon of butter, and 1 tablespoon of oil.

How to Make Butter Garlic Pan-Fried Noodles?

  • First, take a large, wide-mouthed wok, ideally one designed for cooking Chinese dishes like noodles, and heat it up.
  • Then, add the butter and oil to the pan and as the butter slowly melts and becomes fragrant, add the finely chopped garlic and saute gently.
  • When the garlic starts to emit a sweet aroma alongside the butter, incorporate the already-cooked egg noodles and mix well.
  • After thoroughly combining the butter, garlic, and noodles, add soy sauce and chili powder, continuing to fry in the pan.
  • This process will allow the noodles to turn brown gradually, transforming from soft to slightly crispy, indicating they are almost pan-fried.
  • Next, add the spring onion (the green parts along with the onion) and mix well, enhancing the overall flavour of the noodles.
  • Finally, sprinkle in the white sesame seeds, plate the dish neatly, and serve hot. You can add chili and tomato sauce to taste.

Enjoy your delicious butter garlic pan-fried noodles!
