Shweta Tiwari, renowned for her unforgettable performance in Ekta Kapoor’s hit soap opera Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has always been a favourite among fans. She captured hearts not only with her stellar performance but also by clinching the title of the first female winner of reality TV show Big Boss 4. Tiwari has also been the face of popular brands like Clinic Plus. Recently, comedian Fatima Ayesha Khan brought a delightful twist to Tiwari’s brand association. On her Instagram Stories, Khan shared a video that is both nostalgic and hilarious.
The video begins with Khan showing a sachet of Clinic Plus shampoo and proclaiming, “Dekhiye dosto, ye hai asli sign of success ki baal dhone ke liye aapne shampoo ka sachet mangaya or sachet pr aap hi h (“Look, friends! This is the true sign of success. You ask for a sachet of shampoo to wash your hair, and the sachet has your picture on it).”
As the camera zooms on to sachet, Khan turns to Tiwari, who is laughing heartily in a stunning green dress. “On the sachet, you are there and you are here in front of me,” Khan says, to which Tiwari cheekily responds, “Even the hair on the sachet is mine.”
Shweta Tiwari, who has long been a staple of television drama, will make an exciting return to the big screen after a 12-year hiatus. The actress is set to feature in Rohit Shetty’s eagerly awaited film, Singham Again. The movie will mark her second collaboration with Shetty, having previously appeared in the series, Indian Police Force. At the trailer launch event of Indian Police Force, Tiwari announced that her role in Singham Again would see her stepping into the shoes of a police officer.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Shweta Tiwari acknowledged that given her history of leading roles on television, some may view her part in the film as relatively minor. “I’m playing an intelligence officer under Ajay (Devgn) sir in Singham Again. It was a very nice experience. I’ve finished the shoot. I know that people will once again point out that I have a very small role in it. But I wanted to be a part of the cop universe. I wanted to be seen with so many actors in a movie. I look at it as a very good thing,” Tiwari said.
Singham Again is scheduled to be released on Diwali 2024. The film stars a stellar cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor. It is the fifth installment of Shetty’s cop universe and a sequel to 2014’s Singham Returns.
