Srinagar, 05 Sep, 2024: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great zeal at Crescent Public School, Naseem Bagh, Srinagar, and FirstCry Pre-School, Srinagar. Students, staff, and esteemed dignitaries gathered to honor and appreciate the hard work and dedication of teachers. The celebrations featured various activities and heartfelt gestures, making the day memorable for all involved.

The first event took place at Crescent Public School, where students expressed their gratitude through thoughtful gestures, such as presenting sweets and delivering speeches that highlighted the pivotal role of teachers, serving as tributes to their dedication and guidance.

One of the day’s highlights was the felicitation of 25 teachers for their extraordinary contributions to education. Their commitment to academic excellence and student development was celebrated with immense appreciation.

G.N. Var, President of the Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK), delivered an inspiring message, stating, “Teachers are the foundation upon which the future of society is built. Their unwavering dedication and passion for education drive progress. We must continually support and recognize their invaluable contributions.”

Er. Mohammad Shukiel Dar, Chairman of Crescent Public School, also praised the teaching staff, noting, “Education is the most powerful tool to transform society, and teachers are its architects. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom, shaping future leaders and responsible citizens.”

Principal Ms. Farhat Ara Muqdoomi remarked, “Today’s celebrations reflect the respect and gratitude our students have for their teachers. It is heartwarming to witness such affection and recognition from our students.”

Vice Principal Mr. Junaid-ul-Shabar Khan emphasized the importance of the teacher-student bond, saying, “The unity and enthusiasm displayed today highlight the deep connection between teachers and students. It’s a proud moment to see their hard work recognized.”

Administrative Officer Er. Nawab Ali Joo reinforced the notion of teachers as society’s unsung heroes, stating, “Their role in shaping young minds is invaluable, and today’s event is a reminder of their essential contribution.”

The second major event of the day was organized by FirstCry Pre-School, at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, to celebrate Teachers’ Day on a larger scale. The event attracted notable figures from the education and administrative sectors, making it a grand occasion to honor teachers.

G.N. Var, President of PSAJK, served as the Chief Guest, while SP North Srinagar was the Guest of Honour. Other distinguished personalities, including educationists, school administrators, and community leaders, were also in attendance to celebrate the occasion.

In his speech, G.N. Var reaffirmed his commitment to the teaching community, stating, “Teachers do more than impart knowledge; they shape the moral and intellectual framework of society. It is our duty to ensure that their contributions are respected and that they have the resources to thrive.”

Both events, at Crescent Public School and FirstCry Pre-School, showcased the immense contributions of teachers to society. The celebrations served as a powerful reminder of the vital role educators play in shaping the future and the lasting impact they have on their students.
